Start date: April 10, 2026
End date: April 13, 2026
All-day event
Location: Hunton Park, Hertfordshire, England

Are you somebody who has woken up to the climate, ecological and meta-crisis we are facing?

This is a 4-day retreat for people who wish to inquire, in good company, into the questions:

  • So, what’s most important now?
  • What’s my ‘thread’ to pick up? How can I make a difference? What is mine to do?  Who can I do it with?
  • What does it mean to live well now?  How can I tell a story of my life that I’m proud to tell – no matter what happens?

The experience is designed to support you in being able to stand tall and look our interconnected predicaments in the face – from a place of courage, clarity, resilience and creativity.  And to discover what is yours to do.

“Just wanted to reflect on how my life has been so different since getting back from The Edge Retreat. So many connections made; to other humans on this journey (of life and of biosphere and social collapse) to the more than human world, to wonderful thinkers and speakers, to ourselves and ultimately to life itself. I learned so so much and turned so many stones. The retreat was so deftly and beautifully facilitated, the surroundings were supportive and nourishing (as was the food!)

And life has felt very different since I got back. An evolution of all I was doing before the retreat, and all that I am, sure, and… a palpable deepening of an already profound love for this life. Walking around with just the purest and fiercest love for all beings, the bus driver, the neighbour, the refugee, the guy collecting money to combat knife crime. Conversations on the bus about eye contact and safety and connection. An abundance of foraged food – hawthorn ketchup!!!! The jays, jackdaws, gulls, foxes and earthworms, have all wanted to say something and asked me to slow down so I can listen.  I have had “collapse conversations” with four beloveds. Some are keen to continue, some were just a first dip and may end there. I felt skilled and ready to have them.  I have set up my living room to host a We Are The Great Turning group. I planted twelve trees. I have talked with all of them.  This is all mine to do and the joy, holiness, peace and enthusiasm I feel for it is… both electric and integral.  So deeply grateful for all of you, and for you Kim. I feel more alive, and connected to life, than I have ever have.  I deeply appreciate the feeling of community I am left with. Other Edgelings; both my cohort and the wider alumni. I need to stay connected and feel supported in this work and I do and I’m excited about what more will reveal itself in the days, weeks, months, years to come. So much love and gratitude. Until soon. See you down the road.”
